Bike path proposal presented to Parks Commission

On March 28, I presented a proposal for a “linear park” and bike/recreation path at the Redwood City Parks Commission meeting.  The reception was very positive and the Parks Department will be meeting with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) in early April to work through how Redwood City can acquire access to this space.

There will be an update on the results of that meeting at the next Parks Commission meeting, on Wednesday April 25.

What is the current status of the proposal to create a bike/recreation path on the
SFPUC right of way through Redwood City?

Things are progressing very slowly. Redwood City submitted an application to SFPUC in May, but has not received any response yet. Several different departments within SFPUC have to review it and I am told it is making progress, but there has been no output yet. I will post an update as soon as I get more information!
